Val stood just outside the sand village with Yverno at his side. He quickly mounted him and stood upon his back. He had decided that it was time to negotiate with at least one village if possible.

Yverno took off and headed for the glistening shore, no more than 60 miles away...it would take only an hour.

Val thought of what might happen once he reached the shore. Would he be met with open arms, or the business end of a lot of weapons. Only time would tell.
